Dr Jason Yu Zhou enjoys all aspects of general practice and is passionate about providing evidence-based, patient-centred care tailored to each individual’s needs.
He has a broad range of interests across medicine and values building strong long-term relationships with patients and families within the Hills community.
Dr Zhou has special interests in skin conditions and skin cancer medicine, having completed a Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and extended skills training in dermatology. He also has a strong interest in mental health and is an ADHD Tier 1 continuation prescriber for ADHD medications including Ritalin, Concerta (methylphenidate), Vyvanse (dexamfetamine/lisdexamfetamine) and Aspen (lisdexamfetamine). He is a GPMHSC-accredited FPSST provider and has completed additional mental health training through the Black Dog Institute and PsychScene.
In paediatrics, Dr Zhou completed a Diploma of Child Health through Westmead Children’s Hospital.
He also has extensive experience managing chronic medical conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, asthma, stroke, osteoporosis, arthritis, chronic kidney disease and COPD. During his residency training at Westmead and Auburn Hospitals, he completed rotations in geriatrics, respiratory medicine and cardiology.
Dr Zhou completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sydney and attained Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners shortly after completing residency training.
He enjoys serving the Hills community, where he currently lives with his son.
