Dr Gunjan Aggarwal graduated with first class honours in medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2002. He completed his residency and physician training at Westmead Hospital before undertaking advanced cardiology training across several major Sydney hospitals. He is passionate about delivering evidence-based cardiovascular care with a strong focus on prevention, patient education and long-term heart health.
Dr Aggarwal completed advanced cardiology training at Wollongong, Sutherland, St George and Prince of Wales Hospitals. He has undertaken two fellowships in advanced cardiac imaging, including 3D echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and Cardiac CT at Prince of Wales and St George Hospitals.
In 2017, he was awarded a Masters by Research degree at UNSW for his work in Cardiac CT imaging and radiation dose optimization. His clinical interests include general adult cardiology, preventive cardiology, lipidology and non-invasive cardiac imaging for structural and valvular heart disease assessment, particularly transesophageal echocardiography.
Dr Aggarwal has a strong subspeciality interest in Cardiac CT and personally reports CT coronary angiography scans for his patients. He holds Level A ANZ accreditation in Cardiac CT and is a Visiting Medical Officer at SAN, MUH and Norwest Hospitals.
Fellowships in advanced cardiac imaging techniques including 3D echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and Cardiac CT.
Masters by Research (UNSW) in Cardiac CT imaging.
Level A ANZ accreditation in Cardiac CT.
Visiting Medical Officer at SAN, MUH and Norwest Hospitals.
