What to Expect.

Your first appointment includes a comprehensive review of your specialist documentation, current treatment plan and ongoing care needs.

Prepare your documents

Please bring a recent specialist letter confirming your diagnosis, treatment plan, current medications and dosages. Where possible, email the letter to chmc@chmc.com.au before your appointment. Please also bring recent test results from the past 12 months, if available.

Initial consultation

Your first appointment includes a comprehensive review of your specialist documentation, current treatment plan and ongoing care needs.

Ongoing medication reviews

Ongoing reviews are generally completed every six months, either face-to-face or by telehealth. These appointments include a medication review, discussion of side effects and adherence, and prescription renewal where appropriate.

Annual comprehensive review

Book a 30-minute consultation so the GP can review your specialist letters, symptoms, treatment plan and current medications. The GP will then confirm whether ongoing prescribing through Castle Medical is appropriate.

Important Information

Stimulant medication cannot be prescribed unless the required specialist documentation has been provided and reviewed.
Continuation prescriptions remain subject to clinical assessment, NSW prescribing requirements and the GP confirming that ongoing prescribing is appropriate.
