Care That
Continues.
Care that continues well beyond the appointment.
Our mission is to provide professional healthcare, compassionate care and community trust — across every appointment, every follow-up, every family we serve.
- Our Story
Over 30 years of care, growth and community.
Castle Medical began with a single vision — to give Sydney families a medical home where they are genuinely known, cared for, and supported over time. That vision started in the Hills District, where Castle Hill Medical Centre became one of the region’s most trusted GP practices.
Operated by CMH Practice Management, a team with over 20 years of clinical and operational innovation, our model was designed around one key insight: when doctors are supported, patients thrive. We built structures that free GPs from administrative burden so they can spend more time doing what they do best.
"We built a model where doctors own a stake in the practice they work in — and patients feel the difference.”
Today Castle Medical operates three purpose-built clinics across Sydney — Castle Hill, Marsden Park and Lindfield — powered by Clinimetrix, Australia's most advanced medical intelligence platform, and supported by a full precinct of allied health, pathology, radiology and pharmacy partners.
Early 1987
CHMC was founded in 1987
By four local GPs to form a larger medical centre that could better serve the growing Hills community.
1997
Castle Medical Holdings was established in 1997
10 years after CHMC's founding, to support the practice's growth.
CHMC now sees 130,000+ patients per year
And remains one of the few clinics in the area to offer after-hours services.
2018
We transitioned from a trust to CMH Practice Management Pty Ltd
2020

To support a data-driven practice management.

- Our Values
The values that define us.
Everything we do — from how we design our clinics to how we follow up after your appointment — flows from three core commitments.
Community First
We are built for the communities we serve. From diverse multilingual teams to bulk billing and extended hours — every decision is made with our patients in mind, not our convenience. We are not just a clinic. We are your neighbours.
Clinical Excellence
We hold ourselves to the highest clinical standards. Our practices are RACGP accredited, our GPs are supported by Clinimetrix intelligence, and our preventative health programs help patients stay ahead of illness — not just manage it.
Care That Continues
We believe healthcare doesn't stop when you leave the room. We follow up on results, check in between visits, coordinate referrals and build ongoing relationships. Our care is not episodic — it is a commitment for the long term.
- Our Commitments
Three principles we live by every day.
These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the practical standards our entire team is held to — in every consultation, every phone call, every referral.
- Our Impact
How we make a difference beyond the clinic.
Everything we do — from how we design our clinics to how we follow up after your appointment — flows from three core commitments.
How we make a difference beyond the clinic.
Our clinics serve some of Sydney's most diverse and rapidly growing communities. We actively work to ensure no one is left behind — regardless of background, language, age or financial situation.
- Multilingual GPs — Mandarin, Burmese, Hindi, Farsi, Arabic and more
- Bulk billing for eligible patients at Marsden Park
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health awareness
- Support for new arrivals navigating the Australian health system
Technology that improves patient
outcomes.
We believe data and technology should serve patients, not administrators. Our investment in clinical intelligence tools helps GPs identify gaps in care, track chronic conditions and intervene earlier.
- Clinimetrix — personalised, data-driven treatment planning
- Accredited GP training practice — investing in the next generation
- MyMedicare enrolment — long-term patient registration and chronic care
- Creating an AI-powered Telehealth platform to improve access and continuity of care
Operating with integrity and transparency.

- Frequently Asked Questions
Your Questions, Answered.
Have another question? Please contact our team.
Do I need a referral to see a GP at Castle Medical?
No referral is needed to book an appointment with a GP at Castle Medical. Whether you’re coming in for a routine check-up, ongoing care, preventive health support, or a new concern, you can book directly with our team at the location most convenient for you.
What does "care that continues" actually mean for me?
We believe healthcare works best when your doctor understands your health story over time — not just during one appointment. Our GPs focus on long-term relationships, personalised care plans, follow-up support, and coordinated referrals when needed. It means you’ll have a team that checks in, tracks your progress, and supports your health at every stage of life.
Can I have a Telehealth consultation instead of coming in?
Yes — Telehealth appointments are available for many consultations, including follow-ups, prescription reviews, mental health care, and general medical advice. To be eligible for Medicare-rebated Telehealth services, you must have had a face-to-face appointment with one of our GPs within the last 12 months. If an in-person examination is required, your GP will let you know and help arrange the next step. Our team can also advise whether Telehealth is suitable when you book.
Which location should I visit?
You’re welcome to visit whichever Castle Medical clinic is most convenient for you. If you’re unsure, our team can help match you with the right GP based on your needs, preferred appointment times, and location. We also aim to support continuity of care by helping you see the same doctor whenever possible.
Are your clinics bulk-billing or privately billed?
Billing arrangements may vary depending on the Castle Medical clinic location, appointment type, and the doctor you see. Some services may be bulk-billed for eligible patients, while others are privately billed with an out-of-pocket fee. Our reception team will be happy to explain the fees applicable to your appointment when booking.
How do I prepare for my first appointment?
To help us make the most of your visit, please bring:
- Your Medicare card and photo ID
- Any current medications or prescriptions
- Relevant medical records, scans, or test results
- Referral letters (if you have them)
- A list of questions or concerns you’d like to discuss
Arriving a few minutes early will also allow time to complete any new patient forms before your consultation.
Do you offer preventive health checks?
Yes. We provide preventive healthcare services including health assessments, chronic disease management, vaccinations, women’s and men’s health checks, and lifestyle support. Our goal is to help you stay well — not just treat illness when it happens.
Can I see the same GP each visit?
Whenever possible, yes. We encourage continuity of care so your GP can better understand your medical history, health goals, and ongoing needs. Seeing the same doctor regularly often leads to more personalised and effective care.
What should I do if I need urgent medical attention?
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call emergency services immediately. For urgent but non-life-threatening concerns, contact your nearest Castle Medical clinic and our team will help arrange the most appropriate care as quickly as possible. Our Marsden Park clinic also provides access to urgent care support for eligible non-life-threatening conditions requiring prompt medical attention.
What is MyMedicare and do I need to register?
MyMedicare is a voluntary Australian Government program that helps strengthen the relationship between patients, their regular GP, and their preferred medical clinic. Registering with Castle Medical can help support better continuity of care, particularly for patients with ongoing or complex health needs.
Registration is free, and eligible patients who regularly visit our clinics may choose to nominate Castle Medical as their preferred practice. Our team can help guide you through the registration process and answer any questions during your visit.
