Dr Ellen Conway studied medicine through the Graduate Medical Program at the University of Sydney after completing a Bachelor of Medical Science, graduating as a doctor in 2004. She enjoys caring for patients across all stages of life and is passionate about providing continuity of care for individuals and families within the community.
As part of her training, Dr Conway worked across various hospitals in Sydney and spent time in rural areas undertaking mental health and general practice training. In 2006, she worked as a Senior Resident Medical Officer at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, including a secondment to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for neonatal and newborn care. She also completed her Diploma of Child Health during the same year.
Dr Conway pursued general practice to continue her interests in child and family medicine while caring for patients of all ages, including those with complex chronic conditions. She joined Castle Hill Medical Centre and completed her GP Fellowship in 2008.
Dr Conway finds general practice both enriching and rewarding and considers it a privilege to support patients and families throughout different stages of life.While she enjoys all aspects of general practice, her particular interests include women’s health, children’s health from newborn onwards and preventive healthcare.
Outside of medicine, Dr Conway is a busy mother of two young children.
