Dr Chee Fook Choong is an experienced Gastroenterologist who has been caring for patients in Sydney for more than 20 years. He is committed to providing thorough, evidence-based care for a wide range of digestive and liver conditions, helping patients achieve better long-term gastrointestinal health.
Dr Choong is known for his approachable manner and works closely with patients and their GPs to ensure coordinated, personalised care.
Dr Choong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
He has been practising gastroenterology in the Hills District since 2003 and has extensive experience in general gastroenterology, hepatology, diagnostic gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and endoscopic procedures. His clinical interests include bowel cancer screening, digestive disorders, liver disease, and the prevention and early detection of gastrointestinal conditions.
From 2003 to 2013, Dr Choong served as a Staff Specialist and Director of the Emergency Medical Unit at Hornsby Hospital. During this time, he was actively involved in teaching medical students from the University of Sydney and training advanced trainees in Gastroenterology and General Medicine.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Dr Choong enjoys caring for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds and believes in clear communication and patient-centred care.
